Robert Emmet Kenney, M.D., Ph.D.

Internal Medicine

Dr. Robert Emmet Kenney serves as our Medical Director and practices as a General Internist. An academically trained physician with over 30 years of experience, he specializes in evidence-based medicine and value-based care. Dr. Kenney earned both his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Miami before completing his Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency at the Yale University School of Medicine, where he also served as Chief Resident and Associate Faculty.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kenney has held diverse leadership roles, ranging from academic postings to serving as the Chief Medical Officer of a Medicare Advantage Plan. Before joining our team, he was the Senior Medical Director at Wellmed in Florida and Cano Health. He is passionate about delivering the most accurate, up-to-date care and works extensively to improve information flow in the primary care setting.

Mildred R. Sabo, M.D.

Internal Medicine & Geriatrics

Dr. Mildred R. Sabo is a board-certified Internist and fellowship-trained Geriatrician who has been a valued member of the Day Primary Care staff since 2017. She brings over 30 years of medical practice to the team. Dr. Sabo earned her Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University and her Medical Degree from the New Jersey Medical School, followed by a fellowship in Geriatrics at New York University Hospital.

Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Sabo gained extensive experience running her own private practice and serving in several nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She was also on staff at Monmouth Medical Center, Jersey Shore Medical Center, and Ocean Medical Center in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, New Jersey.

Clinical Director & Nurse Practitioner

Katie Diamond serves as the Clinical Director at Day Primary Care. She has been a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with the practice since 2015 and assumed the role of Clinical Director in 2023. Katie obtained her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the University of Florida. She is a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, holding specialized certifications in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) and as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).

With a background in oncology and medical-surgical nursing, as well as prior experience in family practice in Wellington, Katie specializes in treating patients holistically to optimize their health. She is also a recognized leader in her field; she regularly speaks at national and local conferences on the care of older adults. Additionally, she has served as both Vice President and President of the Nurse Practitioner Council of Palm Beach County and was honored as their Nurse Practitioner of the Year in 2022. In her personal time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, often relaxing at the beach or cheering on Florida Gator football.

Nurse Practitioner

Danae Clark Dowd is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who joined Day Primary Care in 2017. She specializes in providing house calls, bringing quality care directly to our patients in the comfort of their homes. After completing her RN program at Indian River State College, Danae earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida College of Nursing.

Prior to joining our team, Danae gained extensive experience providing house calls and spent several years as an oncology nurse in a local hospital. She maintains active memberships with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Nurse Practitioner Council of Palm Beach County, and the Nurse Practitioner Council of the Treasure Coast. Outside of her professional life, Danae enjoys reading, running, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Johanna Job, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Johanna Job is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She earned both her Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University. Before moving into Primary Care and Urgent Care as a practitioner, Johanna spent several years as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Medicine, caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations—a role in which she earned the prestigious Daisy Award.

Johanna is fluent in Spanish and is dedicated to building a practice grounded in safe, evidence-based medicine. She utilizes a patient-centered model, ensuring that her patients feel they are active collaborators in their own plan of care. In her free time, Johanna enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Skylar Kosek, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Skylar Kosek is a Family Nurse Practitioner board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) who joined Day Primary Care in 2025. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Crown College in Minnesota before attending Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she achieved both her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees.

Skylar brings a strong clinical foundation to our practice, drawing on her diverse experience as a Registered Nurse in medical-surgical nursing, oncology, and hospice care. This background equips her to provide compassionate, expert care to patients across the lifespan. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Skylar has made sunny Florida her new home. Outside of the office, she enjoys watching and playing basketball and spending time at the beach.

Kelley Pekarsky, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC

Kelley Pekarsky, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC

Nurse Practitioner & Care Navigator

Kelley Pekarsky serves as a Nurse Practitioner and Care Navigator for the CMS GUIDE program at the Council on Aging Martin County, joining the practice in 2024. She works alongside her assistant Pamela to coordinate high quality care for patients with dementia and their families. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Like our Clinical Director, Kelley is a proud graduate of the University of Florida's College of Nursing, where she earned her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees.

Kelley possesses a deep passion for working with the elderly population and patients with dementia, bringing six years of experience as a nurse practitioner in the nursing home environment. She is enthusiastic about her role in the GUIDE program, having observed its significant benefits for individuals with dementia and their caregivers since the program began in July 2024. When she is not working, Kelley enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.

Registered Medical Assistant, Lead

Alicia joined our practice in 2024 and quickly became a vital leader in our clinic. As our Lead Registered Medical Assistant, she balances clinical duties—such as triaging patients, drawing labs, and administering injections—with overseeing our medical assistant and front desk teams. Alicia is known as the office's "go-to" person; if there is an issue, she finds the solution.

Her philosophy is centered on treating every patient and staff member with fairness, kindness, and respect. She works tirelessly behind the scenes, often spending hours navigating insurance requirements to ensure patients receive the care they deserve. Her ultimate goal is for every patient to leave feeling heard and understood. Originally from Upstate New York, Alicia enjoys reading and running in her free time.

LPN & Medical Assistant

Myrna has been a dedicated member of our team since 2016. Holding licenses as both a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and a Medical Assistant, she manages patient flow for our providers, handling everything from triage and vital signs to checkout. Myrna is bilingual in Spanish and English and is known for her specialized skill in phlebotomy (drawing blood).

Her approach to care is simple: she treats every patient like family. Myrna possesses a unique ability to stay calm amidst the chaos, ensuring patients leave the office happy and confident in their care. She works diligently to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner and hopes they feel they can fully trust us with their health.

Born in Puerto Rico, Myrna moved to the U.S. at age 11 and has called Port St. Lucie home for 25 years. In her free time, she loves gardening, cooking, dancing, and spending time with her dog. She particularly enjoys meeting new people and hearing their stories.

Front Desk Receptionist & Medical Assistant

Millie has been a dedicated member of our team since 2015. While she began as our Front Desk Receptionist, she is currently completing nursing school and assisting us in a Medical Assistant role. A true team player, Millie does a little bit of everything around the office, from taking vitals and drawing labs to handling patient checkout and covering wherever she is needed.

Millie finds the most rewarding part of her job is providing high-quality, genuine care. She views every patient as if they were her own mother or father and strives to ensure they feel like human beings rather than just numbers. Born in Peekskill, New York, Millie has lived in Florida since she was three years old and currently resides in Port St. Lucie. Outside of work, she is studying hard to finish her nursing degree, spending time at church, or going to the park with her son. She also has a dog named Luca, whom she describes as the "King of the household."

Front Desk Receptionist

Angelica joined our practice in the summer of 2025 and serves as the friendly face of our front office. She manages patient appointments and ensures the reception area runs smoothly, often being the first person to welcome you through our doors. With specialized skills in insurance and customer service, Angelica follows up regularly with patients to ensure a seamless experience.

Her personal philosophy is the Golden Rule: she provides the same level of care she would want for herself. She strives to make sure every patient feels heard and leaves feeling better than when they arrived. Angelica values the extensive background work required to help our providers deliver excellent care and works hard to support that process.

A Stuart, Florida native, Angelica loves her community. Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking and baking with her kids and has a special love for sushi.

Front Desk Receptionist

Annie joined our practice in 2025, bringing over 25 years of customer service excellence to our front office. As a Front Desk Receptionist, she handles incoming calls, scheduling, and serves as the primary point of contact for patient needs. Annie understands that accurate documentation requires time and focus, and she prides herself on providing the patience and attention to detail necessary to support our patients, especially the geriatric population.

She views every patient as an individual with unique needs and finds the most rewarding part of her job is simply helping others. Her goal is for every patient to leave the office feeling heard and cared for. Originally from Miami, Annie recently moved to Port St. Lucie. She is a devoted animal lover who spends her free time caring for her seven rescue cats and one rescue dog.

Certified Medical Assistant & Phlebotomist

Allyson brings over 10 years of medical experience to our team, having joined our practice in 2025. As a Certified Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist, she draws on a diverse background that includes Primary Care (pediatrics), Dermatology, Endocrinology, and Hospital Laboratories.

Allyson is passionate about forming long-term relationships with her patients and strives to help them in the best ways possible. Her goal is to provide consistent, compassionate care that allows patients to feel supported over time. Outside of the office, Allyson is a loving wife and mother to four wonderful children. She is deeply involved in the community, dedicating her time to volunteering at her local church and participating in outreach programs for those in need.

Nicole has been with Day Primary Care since 2025 and is already looking forward to many more years with the practice. As a Medical Assistant, she is responsible for preparing patients for their exams, which includes taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections.

Nicole thrives on the personal connections she makes in the office; she deeply enjoys talking and interacting with patients to ensure they feel comfortable. When she isn't at the office, Nicole is busy being a dedicated "sports mom" or enjoying quality time with her family.

BILLING MANAGER

MaryAnn has been a cornerstone of our practice since 2013, serving as our Billing Manager. With over 25 years of healthcare experience and degrees in Business Administration and Marketing, she oversees the collection of claims, manages charges, and ensures strict compliance with insurance contracts to optimize revenue.

MaryAnn finds it deeply rewarding to help patients understand the complexities of their insurance coverage. She always strives to treat others as she would want to be treated. Her ultimate goal is for every patient to feel that their issue has been completely resolved by the end of their interaction. Originally from Michigan, MaryAnn now lives in Stuart. In her free time, she enjoys watching and listening to true crime shows.

Billing & Referral Specialist

Sheri joined our practice in 2021, serving as a Billing and Referral Specialist. With a Master's degree in Healthcare Management and over 30 years of experience in medical billing and practice management, she is an expert in navigating the healthcare system. Her primary responsibilities include sending referrals to specialists, obtaining authorizations, billing claims, and communicating with insurance companies on a daily basis.

Sheri treats every patient the way she would want to be treated. She finds great reward in guiding patients through the complexities of billing and takes pride when they express satisfaction with her help. She wishes patients understood how complex insurance processing can be, but she is always willing to put in the hard work to resubmit claims and find solutions. Originally from Coral Springs, Sheri now lives in Palm City. In her free time, she enjoys exercising and teaching exercise classes. She also adores her two cats, Max and Snickers.

Clerical Medical Assistant

Beverly has been an integral part of our team for the past five years. As our Clerical Medical Assistant, she keeps our office running efficiently by managing new patient packets, billing assistance, and medical records. Known for her organization and keen attention to detail, Beverly takes pride in ensuring every job is done correctly. She finds it deeply rewarding to support our staff and knows that her behind-the-scenes work makes a real difference in our patients' lives.

Originally from New York, Beverly now calls Stuart home. When she isn't at the office, she enjoys crafting, volunteering in the community, and going for walks. She is passionate about her dogs and loves spending quality time with her granddaughter.
